SOUL

Soul

One tiny breath was all it took…
God blew and then a man he shook
Waking a living soul…
Down through the ages countless they are…
Numbered more than all the stars…
The tiny soul emerges…
They’re all around us but we can’t see
What makes the soul, inside you and me?
God's breath...
The soul God gave never ceases to exist…
The soul of man lives, throughout the ages…
Dark or light which will yours be…
Heaven or hell, eternally...
As Jesus calls your soul, set free
Live in love’s serenity…
Tiny souls release your faith…
Accept the light of brightest hope
Be born anew from this first fruit
His Kingdom come, is born, in you!

Mama's Bible

Its dawn, morning is breaking and I see it…

A sunbeam rests upon it, laying there in the familiar spot

The book…

Read from cover to cover, pages worn and written upon

Tear stains of memories and prayers, some answered, some still to be…

in my mama’s bible…

I watched her read it many times; her heart restored, as she kept the words of life

This Holy book is full of mysteries, stories that live in pages of red, black and

white…

Morning, noon, and night and even in between...

She read God’s word; would quote it, and tell you what it means…

Better than a pill you take, and certainly more satisfying;

The bread of life is sown upon, the pages, even when dying…

Oh beautiful are the feet of those, who spread the gospel message

Prophets and saints of old, died to give us passage…

Into the texts we read this book, wanting and longing, for just another look

Words of wisdom scribbled on edges, of my mama’s bible…

Nothing dearer, could she have given,

Than her old tattered bible, when she went to heaven…

A legacy of life is felt, as I watched her, at her bedside, when she knelt

Praying and reading her bible…

Help me God to do the same, this I pray in Jesus name…

I’ll keep reading mama’s bible.

I'm Here

I'm Here

Afraid and alone I face my foe

Fear grips my heart in this valley of woe…

Spirit rises within my soul

I grip the hand of God…

Voice rising in spirit song…

He hears His language as I hold on…

Touches and heals all that is wrong…

Fear vanishes…

Doubt is gone…

Touched by the hand of God…

I Saved a Seat For You

I Save A Seat for You

I’ll meet you in the morning light
When the sun is shining and the sky is blue
Work all done, play complete
Come on, I saved a seat for you
Then we’ll see all the ones we’ve missed
While on the earth below
Singing songs of mercy to heaven as we go…
Amazing grace how sweet the sound…is heard here all year round
Unheard music and melodies fills the renewed soul…
With peace and joy that’s found here, more precious than has ever been told

You see,
When Jesus came to Bethlehem, lived, then died on Golgotha’s hill
A sealed tomb, they thought would keep him, and it did until…
He rose in victory, the Son of God, He loved us then, He always will
We’ll all be going home one day, what joy will then be given
To all the ones whose hearts are right because they’ve been forgiven!
The sky is blue, with clean fresh air, sun is shining…I’ll meet you there!

1 Corinthians 2:8-10New Living Translation (NLT)
8 But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. 9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”[a]
10 But[b] it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

Share Kindness

I found a little kindness and used it just today
Each time I see someone in need, I give it all away…
I look within my heart, and more comes back to me
Kindness is a precious gift, a blooming, fragrant tree…
I plant some in the marketplace, where people come and go
They smile, and I see, the kindness I bestow...
Though kindness is a little thing, I just want them all to know
Sow kindness in another’s heart and watch it begin to grow…

God's Grace Will Carry You...

Weeping
It does not cease
I try and try but all I do is cry…
I know you wouldn’t want this
But nothing satisfies
Nothing feels the same anymore
Our talks are over and done
I know you’re in a perfect place
Your battle has been won
But I must go on living there’s nothing to be done
I can’t bring you back
And wouldn’t even if I could
Please help me Lord the pain goes deep
I sure wish you would
Fill the hole within my heart and bring healing to my soul
Just a little longer Lord, on this journey I must go
Fill me with your joy once more
Oh I love you so…
There’s loved ones gone and loved ones here
Let me see your smiling face
Fill me with your everlasting, sweet, amazing grace…
To carry on and not to waste the life you’ve given me
Until at last your precious face I finally embrace…

HE STOOD UP

Lowly baby,

 King of kings

Walked among us,

Praise His Holy Name

Arrested, beaten, nailed to a tree

Proved His great love by dying for thee

Behold, he didn’t stay in the grave as you thought

He took our sins we’ve been redeemed, blood bought

Look!

I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man,

Standing

At the right hand of God…

55 But Stephen, filled by the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw God’s glory, with[a] Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and he said, 56 “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

For You

Cries so deep no sound is heard

Paralyzing and crushing, mind in agony

He’s pouring out his soul with great drops of blood

Can we do nothing but stand by and watch, while His disciples sleep

But…

This…

Must…

Be…

God’s son was sent for this purpose you see…

The angels stand ready…

‘We cannot interfere…the son of God is praying, can you not hear…?’

‘Abba, Abba, if it is your will, let this cup pass from me…’

Silence…from heaven…

‘Never-the-less, I will do your will…’

Complete

18 And Hashem Elohim said, It is not tov that the adam (man) should be alone; I will make him an ezer (a helper) suitable for him. (Genesis) Bereshis 2:18 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)

I’m longing for something,

In the garden of life;

Not knowing who, or what,

But Hashem Elohim, promised me a wife…

Awaking from springtime’s refreshing

Adam asks, 'What’s this I find, a woman, my kind.

Sleeping in the sunshine…curves that draw me near…

Her lips are full and beckoning as she speaks

‘Abba brought me here.’

A mighty rushing wind, sends rapture and ecstasy

Flooding my soul with delight, setting my spirit free…

A woman, Hashem Elohim, has made, for me.

The Light

Behold...
The Light…
The Flame…
It shines through the darkness…
Thick darkness…
Cannot hide the light…
Great darkness…
Brighter light…
One tiny flame, dispels the darkness
His light can never be extinguished!
Behold...
The Light!

Jesus, the light of the world...

John 8:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

God's Word Last Forever

(The oldest tree in the world is a Great Basin bristle cone pine (Pinus longaeva) in the white mountains of California in Inyo National Forest. This gnarled old tree has been named Methuzelah and is estimated to be about 4,845 years old, which dates back to roughly the same time period as Noah’s ark. The exact location of the tree is kept a secret to protect the tree from the public though it looks similar to the pictures shown here.)

Moments fly like snow drifts in the wind…

Vibrant, glistening, fresh and new

Then melted to begin again…

The eyes blink

A generation extinct

Yet stays in memories then fade…

Cycling, God, made!

--Marla Shaw O'Neill

Adam, the first man, lived to be 930 years old (Genesis 5:5). Seth was 912. Five generations later, God took Enoch when he was 365 (Genesis 5:24). Enoch's son, Methuselah, died at 969 (Genesis 5:27). Methuselah's grandson Noah, ten generations after Adam, lived to be 950 (Genesis 9:29).

All of these men were born and lived many years. But after the Flood, life spans dropped. Why? That's a good question. Noah's son Shem lived to be 600 (Genesis 11:10-11). The next three generations died in their 400s (Genesis 11:12-19). But six generations later, Abraham lived to be 175. So, Adam was 930; ten generations later, Noah was 950; ten generations later, Abraham was 175 (Genesis 25:7). One can only imagine...maybe it was because their physical bodies were still close enough to the Garden's influence and God's provision of food and water that death was slower coming. No one really knows. It would be an interesting study.

But like that old serpent who whispered in Eve's ear, "Surely you won't die." He caused just enough doubt in Eve that she forgot about her loyalty to God. And taking a bite, die she did. Physically and spiritually...only through the blood of Jesus can we be restored to eternal life. Will you listen to that old serpent whisper in your, ear? Or will you choose to listen to God? I choose Jesus, he is the way the truth and the life!

Singing Brings Joy

God woke me up this morning with a song on my lips

The birds they stopped to listen, they didn’t want to miss

This, human, singing…making melody below…

Songs from the master for the journey as we go…

The little birds waited, to hear this song from you…

Happiness and sunshine like tiny drops of dew…

A blessing from heaven shines down upon you…

Singing brings joy, joy brings strength…

Strength brings courage…

Courage to wait…

They that wait upon the Lord…soon will be renewed

You’ll run and not grow weary…

You’ll walk and not faint…

So sing little song bird, your melody so sweet

And then before you know it, you’ll have little dancing feet!

Swirling and twirling, your joy will be complete!!!

31 but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

Broken Vessels

Broken vessel…
Lying in pieces…
No one to pick you up…
No one to hear you cry…
Stepping over the shattered, broken, vessel walks a passerby.
Never sees the pain or distress, upon your battered face…
Desperate for mending; just a touch of human grace…
But that would be too much to ask, from a solitary life…
No time for that; we all must wear, the hidden, faithless, mask…
Not knowing who; that bends to make the mends…
A hand reaches out; He does not demand…
He takes the broken pieces, rearranges them His way…
Now all the broken pieces are put together again…
New vessel standing strong and true…
The master, creator, did this for you…

Old things are passed away…
Behold!
All things, become, brand new!

Warrior of Prayer

 The Whole Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10-18New Living Translation (NLT)

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we[a] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.[b] 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.[c] 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.[d]

Warrior of Prayer

 The battle weary warrior…

Fight’s long, hard and intense…

No matter what, He fights…

The enemy never tires...

Never retreats…

Never stops…

He kills, steals and destroys, all within his path…

When one is cut down, ten will take their place…

Where are you Warrior of the Living God?

Reinforcements commence…

No time to rest…or give up, or give in…

You must be strong and fit, in body mind and spirit

Strategy, alert, aware, there is no end to it…

If Brother Warrior faces defeat…another take his place

Pray long and stay, before, our Holy God’s, Majestic face…

Warrior of Prayer;

Be diligent be faithful…don’t look to the left or the right…

The Warrior’s creed is this…

It’s do or die, there is no retreat…

Lives hang in the balance...

You never leave your post…

Pray without ceasing, in the Holy Ghost…

You’re a Warrior of prayer; anointed for the task...

Don’t lose heart, stand true, stand fast…

Oh Mighty Warriors of Prayer,

Come join the massive fight...

For Jesus and His army has given us His Light…

For when…The Commander in Chief;

Splits the eastern sky…

Sword drawn; shielded;

We hear the battle cry…

The journey continues…

Renewed in Spirit…

We fly!
